Hi

I have configured Decnet over IP on two VAX's on the same LAN with the same Decnet Area Address and my circuits and lines go into the ON state. DECnet wise this is the same set-up as used to work before between = these nodes? 2. Did you had external (non-OpenVMS) DECnet routers before moving to = the IP tunnel? If this is the case, ensure _at__least_ one of your OpenVMS DECnet Phase = IV system is set-up as a router to allow routing between areas - or bring all to the same area - this might take more effort, = tough. Check your IP network architecture and/or the previous DECnet router design to avoid the traffic multiple over the = infrastructure - there might be more then one DECnet router required for a good performance. DECnet routing on OpenVMS requires a routing license, either an old = dedicated one, or a certain level of a NET-APP-SUP one. No VAX booted anmore here, but it can be done for tests - let me know if you = need some more licensing help. Good luck, -Kurt. -----Original Message----- From: Godfrey Pillay [mailto:gpillay@za.ibm.com]=20 Sent: Wednesday, January 07, 2004 11:33 AM To: info-tcpware@process.com Subject:=20 Hi=20 I have configured Decnet over IP on two VAX's on the same LAN with the = same Decnet Area Address and my circuits and lines go into the ON state.
